If you believe your order was stolen after delivery, here’s what to do next.
Step 1: Confirm the Delivery
Start by reviewing the tracking information to confirm:
The delivery date and time
The delivery location (mail room, front desk, locker, etc.)
That the address on the order is correct
Sometimes packages are temporarily held by building staff or placed in an alternate location.
Step 2: Check With Building Management
If your building has a mail room, front desk, or leasing office:
Ask if they’re holding the package
Check whether security cameras cover the mail room
Request video footage from the delivery window, if available
Ask if other residents have reported similar issues
This step is especially important for shared delivery areas.
Step 3: File a Police Report
If the package cannot be located, we recommend filing a non-emergency police report. Be sure to include:
