I paid with an installment program, when will I see my refund?Updated 3 months ago

When you’re refunded for an order paid through an installment plan (like Shop Pay or Klarna), the refund process works slightly differently than for regular payments:

Refund to the Installment Plan: If you’ve made payments toward your installment plan and then receive a refund, the refunded amount is typically applied directly to your remaining balance with the payment provider. For example, if you’ve paid part of the balance already, the refund will reduce the amount you still owe.

Refund Process:

  • Shop Pay: If you’ve paid for your order via Shop Pay, any refund will be automatically applied to your Shop Pay balance. If the refund amount exceeds your remaining balance, the extra will be refunded to your original payment method.

  • Klarna: Klarna will update your payment schedule to reflect the refunded amount. If you've already made payments, Klarna will either credit the refunded amount toward your next installment or reduce your overall balance. If you’ve paid off the full amount, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method.

Timing: Refunds to installment plans can take a bit longer to reflect in your payment schedules, and may not appear immediately. The payment providers (Shop Pay or Klarna) will typically notify you of any changes.

If you have specific questions about how the refund is being applied, it’s best to reach out to the payment provider’s customer service for further clarification
