I was refunded to store credit. How can I get my money back?Updated a month ago
As of June 2026, AKIRA no longer issues gift cards for refunds — refunds are now issued as store credit or back to your original payment method.
There are a few reasons your refund may have been issued as store credit rather than to your original payment method:
- In-Store Return: If the return was made in-store, refunds are issued as store credit per our in-store return policy.
- Store Credit Selected: When initiating your return online, you had the option to choose store credit or your original payment method. If store credit was selected, the refund cannot be reversed once processed.
- Original Payment Used Store Credit or a Gift Card: If your purchase was made partially or fully with store credit or a gift card, the refund is first applied back to the original payment method before any remaining balance is returned as store credit.
How to view your store credit balance: Log into your account at shopakira.com/account, go to your profile, and look under Payment Methods — Store Credit.
