I was refunded to store credit. How can I get my money back?Updated a month ago

As of June 2026, AKIRA no longer issues gift cards for refunds — refunds are now issued as store credit or back to your original payment method.

There are a few reasons your refund may have been issued as store credit rather than to your original payment method:

1. In-Store Return: If the return was made in-store, refunds are issued as store credit per our in-store return policy.
2. Store Credit Selected: When initiating your return online, you had the option to choose store credit or your original payment method. If store credit was selected, the refund cannot be reversed once processed.
3. Original Payment Used Store Credit or a Gift Card: If your purchase was made partially or fully with store credit or a gift card, the refund is first applied back to the original payment method before any remaining balance is returned as store credit.

How to view your store credit balance: Log into your account at shopakira.com/account, go to your profile, and look under Payment Methods — Store Credit.
